Otters Y4, Y5 and Y6

Otter Class

Years 4, 5 and 6

Otter Class enjoyed a trip to Stories of Lynn and King's Lynn Museum. They went to explore more about their History topic of WW1. The children got to explore artefacts and read letters from the trenches. They played a game called "Pass the Smile" and also took part in PT with a WW1 solider.

Class 6 from both schools went to King's Lynn Fire Station as part of the Crucial Crew event. They learnt about all kinds of safety, from fire hazards to keeping sage on the Internet, and when out at the seaside.

Otter Class went to Great Cressingham to experience what it would have been like in the Victorian period in school. Ma'am, Miss North, taught the children reading, writing and arithmetic supported by Miss Gertrude. The children wrote with slate pencils and slate. They had the chance to play with Victorian toys. The children all had a typical Victorian lunch: bread, cheese, cake and apples, which were all wrapped in baking paper and tea towels. The girls then made lavender bags and the boys drew pictures of Natural History objects. It was a fantastic day and the children (and adults) fully immersed themselves in the day.

We love being outside and getting dirty at Forest School!

Our Year 6s had an absolutely brilliant time at Hilltop!
